Reagents gone while transfering to house

I just had 10k of each reags turn into piles of 50 when I transferred them to my house from my bank. I used gate travel.

is this some kind of a bug??

i feel like crying.

here is what i did.

I made a macro to hit the 'ok' button for moongates. I cast gate travel, dbl clicked the gate and the popup asks if i would like to go through. I grab my reag bag from my bank and hit my macro button, then I'm through to the other side of the moongate in front of my house.

I then dropped my reag bag onto my steps and immediately secured it down and that was when I noticed the reags were in piles of 50. I'm also running dual clients and used a 2nd character to track and reveal right before I went through the gate. plus there is no way a stealther could take that much in such a quick amount of time. they could have just grabbed the bag and went back into the gate. but why piles of 50 reags?

yep i already tried that. the bag shows 8 items, 40 stones.

i'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I've done this on multiple servers and have never had this happen before. i feel really dejected right now :(

sounds like you grabbed the wrong bag. It would be a ***** if for some reason the regs were dropping to your feet when you tried putting them in the bag without you noticing. For instance you have the 8/40 reg bag in your pack, then you start adding stacks of 10,000 to it without realizing the stacks are dropping to the ground then you gate out and boom. Regs are looted.
Not saying this happened bro, just trying to figure out wtf could cause that to happen. Thats a good 200k+ lost.

i double checked my bank and its not there.

right before i gated, i counted the regs in the reg bag container which was in my bank. 10-11k of each. the reg bag never went into my backpack. i dragged it out of my bank(i looked at my weight bar and was really overweight, which makes sense) and went through the gate( at this point i did not look at my weight) and dropped it on my steps and secured it. then imediately noticed the bag said 8 items, 40 stones and looked inside to see only 50 of each reg.

yea i've been farming my butt off this last month, spent the gold on houses and those regs. now they're all gone.

if this was like 10 years ago i would have smashed my keyboard and ragequit. but i'm older now lol. though i might have to take a break from playing.

Glitches/bugs like this just don't happen in a 17 year old game. There is no bug that exists that would ever do this. I'm sorry, here are the options:

1) You're lying
2) You grabbed the wrong bag
3) A guy dropped his reg bag and grabbed your reg bag

Yeah I do that kind of dragging all of the time and it has never been a problem.

For future reference, here's a better way to go about this:
  1. Mark a rune inside of a bank, near the banker
  2. With your co-owned character, cast a gate from inside your home to the bank rune
  3. Go through gate and say Bank
  4. Drag container you want onto cursor
  5. Hit gate macro, which will take you back inside of your house (as opposed to outside)
  6. Drop container into the appropriate secure container (in this case your reg chest)
  7. note: if anyone tries to go through your gate, they are automatically popped outside of your house, so there is zero chance of them trying any funny business.

Or if you're at an idoc or whatever, and you need to gate from a non-bank area to your home:
  1. Always have a secure container on your steps.
  2. Cast gate to your home
  3. Drag item onto cursor (or drag first and then hit your "gate to home" macro)
  4. Hit your "go through gate" macro
  5. Place items in already secure container

Dropping stuff and then trying to secure it immediately is almost always a mistake.

you know i was at the armorer the other day and i had two bags in my pack one for regs, one for shit to sell. well after selling everything i dropped the wrong bag on the ground.
Maybe you had two bags in your bank. something like this happened.
"9/10 times it's user error"

you should be able to use commodity deeds in your house as well as in the bank... also, the reag fill feature.

There is an item called the commodity deed box that is available while pricy it is just for this purpose. Of course deeds are far easier to steel than a couple thousand regs.
