Should explosion (spell) damage timer be random

I am not sure why they would change it from static to random spell timer either. Don't be so harsh on the staff, I am sure they had their reasons at the time.

Idk if you just want a reason to say staff or what but I'm pretty sure uof employees didn't suggest it?

You confuse me. @Adam already said they changed it "to help prevent ganks". This is not typical UO functionality.

Plus my original comment was a joke, but apparently you were actually thinking that exp spells were always random timers and that the OP was just complaining to have it changed to his preferred way.

Note that it says the spell delay (ie casting time) is 1.75 sec -- not a random time.

The delay before the explosion hits is 2 seconds.

I for one applaud the GMs for thinking outside the box in trying to address ganking. I just don't think this actually does that.

Hah, good point. I listed the casting time not actual spell delay. Thanks.
