Questions about boats

Twice I have logged in, in a spot that was not where I logged out.

Twice my boat decayed in less than 2 days.

Twice I've lost everything in my boat when it was docked IN Britain in a small stream between bridges.

Why is this?

if you logged out in your boat .. sounds to me like someone sunk your ship..
Besides storing crap in boats and logging out is not wise .. boats are not homes .

Part of the reason I dropped anchor INSIDE a town between two bridges that cut off the ocean.

I was thinking that as well; part of why everything that was on my boat was junk, or tools.

Sounds like you got sunk. If you can place the boat, so can someone else and they will just to sink your boat.

you can still be sunk inside a town.......some of our pirates are very sneaky!

if your char is logged out on your boat and the boat is sunk then when you log back in you will be teleported to the nearest landmass

Why is this?

You know, the slightest bit of research and/or investigation goes a long way. Pretty much every time you appear on the forums you have a wild attitude about what amounts to you boogering something up, you screwing yourself over, or you not understanding something. If you are not 100% about what something does in game or what some interaction is in game, that means you have a question. Take steps to remove the questions you have. Plenty of people on the forums and IRC will help you out but when you come out the gate throwin shade you are going to get shit patties flung back at you.

Check your bank. If your boat was sunk it will be in your bank.
Boats decay fast here. Don't leave them on the water.

I asked a question. That's all I did. I looked up how fast boats decay; lacking a complete guide here I looked else where, and the general consensus is that boats take little under a week to decay on a UO:R shard.

I would have loved to look up the time for THIS shard, but like I said the guide is incomplete and filled with holes.

Skye answered my question (thanks, Skye) but if all you're intent on doing is running that mouth you can just stop; I got what I came for.

All I'm saying is if the general manner of response to your postings is negative, maybe the way you are going about things is to be questioned? Maybe take a hint when your thread title changes from "Huge Fucking Problem" to "Questions about boats."

In this particular instance, yes, Skye answered your question. AFTER you had already experienced loss TWICE due to an assumption. When there was no explicit answer to your question on whatever guides you looked at, why not ask a question on the forums or hit up IRC? Instead we have this thread.

If you actually view what i have said as "running my mouth" then i will certainly just resign myself to watching you crash and burn on these forums. The content of this post and my last one should only serve to spark some inner reflection on your part. Seriously ask yourself the questions i have asked you.

Lately there have been a few boats that would not reload when I rebooted the server. I deleted them. Perhaps they were yours.
