Ya you need to raise his alchy so he can craft potions, and then give him gm weapons as well. You just need to support his poisoning business and eventually he will get back to GM. Make sure to do it in a dungeon, though.
Sorry, I really have no idea. I thought in other posts it showed poison of like 500 or something? Maybe look around, but regardless it should raise its skill by fighting and if you want to speed it up you buy ss...stat loss shouldnt be any different.

I think this is wrong, they can regain back up to whatever its max was.

^^^ i believe hes right. my beetle kept gaining his eval right back every time..its like 107 something...and it cap out at the same spot each time

I may be wrong but I think a DB always lethal poisons on hit. The poisoning skill sets the level of magery cast poison..

Definitely not always. Maybe within a few tiles, but my beetle always attacks and poisons so quickly it'd be tough to tell. I know for sure that when casting on a mob that's several tiles away, he inflicts greater poison almost always.
