I have set my Crystal Workbench so that anyone can use it.
It is on the first level of my vendor house.
If you have any problems w/ people trying to steal/pk you while using it, send me a pm on the forums or in irc and ill ban them.

Make sure to use 'Tracking' before you start working (and periodically while you are working) to check for thieves in the house.
