Provo questions

Hello,

I've been accumulating a bunch of questions while playing my main character.

First off, build. I build him as a provo/warrior but there's something to be said about provo archers too. I'm considerng dropping swords for archery, any words from the wise?

2- If I go archery, where do I buy arrows? I've seen them at 2gp, 3gp and 4 gp. Are they cheaper from a specific type of vendor or place? Is it the same for bolts?

3- I've GM'd provo, 105 even. Will try to get to 120 eventually. Does the bard table ever stop being the place to macro this? Do we ever cap off the rotten corpses or will it take me to 120?

4- My build is - swords, tactics, anat, healing, hiding, music and provo. I'm noticing the lack of resist is a bit hard sometimes. Is there anything I should change to fit in resist somewhere or do people just not use it?

5- Anyone want to share some good provo farm areas? :)

Edit: 6- one more thing, how much can I expect to pay for 110-115 and 120 PS's? Ballpark.

Thanks!

1. I feel like archery would be safer, however swords will mow threw mobs faster

2. generally I see arrows on provisioners in all towns. sometimes they'll sell 999, sometimes they'll only have 20 in stock. However, there's tons of player vendors around that sell arrows and bolts in bulk (bolts usually are maybe 1-2g more expensive per bolt).

3. Not real sure, I ended up using skillscrolls from 110 to 120

4. If you decide to go with swords over archery, i'd suggest dropping hiding for resist.

5. last level of cove has some nice spots with ancient lich, demon temple is another good one. Destard can be rewarding, but is often populated with reds

6. no idea :(

I like archery since you can finish mobs off outside of their spell range, thus also removing the need for resist magic. Not having resist magic does makes things a bit tricky sometimes but hiding is just so nice.

Not sure about the 100+ provo, I'm doing fine with just 100. Anyone know the benefit of 100+ provo?

Just get a mage and run through a few rune libs and set up a runebook with spots. Around Yew gate there are some nice libs, santa's house for example and another nice one is the player shop north of Moonglow, LLC or something?

archery is a lot safer, as you can kite while getting provo ready or if anything else spawns close also. (note: i suck at grabbing nameplates so the range helps lol)
i have the same build on mine with resist over hiding. and i also have one with magery/peace(I'm dropping that for meditation soon) and lose healing and anat. you will lose like a +20% dmg but with the right slayer bow you'll still be fine, plus you have the added offensive spells to help.
running 90str/75dex/60int on that, whenever its a hard mob i just pop agility potion or cast agility on myself. the drop in attack speed isn't bad. plus this build gives more mobility (i find it more fun than my healing provo archer)

you can buy arrows from anyone that sells bows, they usually respawn with like 400 of each but they go for 3-4gp each. farming centaurs is also good, they drop about 75 each and with provo you only have to use a couple arrows to finish them off

By the time you'll have 500k+ For 120 provo ps it won't be a problem to buy the skill scrolls.
Forget about the bard table, it CAN be done but it takes forever after 110. You'll make gold to buy SS way faster than you'd be gaining provo at the table
