Once the server is wiped and most issues above mentioned brought we would see many doing other things/roles in the game like crafting and harvesting. The demand would be greater for those roles and faction or blue/red pvp would be more profitable and enjoyable than it is now. Also a lot more players would enjoy the game knowing that there is space for them to place and decorate houses, castles, keeps, etc.

@ Bunnky I appreciate your opinion, but keep in mind that you is not "noone". I would not get too attached with whatever virtual items you own. You have to face the reality that everything ends and what's better way to end it than for the better overall experience of you and the community. We would see increased number of players coming as well as preserving what's left for longer.

@ TheFallen if you think reboot is not the answer ok, but simply saying that without adding further input why the server should not be wiped doesn't help much.

I'm aware that sadly the server wipe most likely won't happen until this server exist, but I strongly believe a server wipe will increase the server longevity once Ultima Online is played and experienced to its highest potential. Clearly there are individuals here who do agree with my opinions and that's a good sign. Ultimately, the server wipe option is mentioned so the staff can think about it and they could use it as a last resort if they see a continues, steady drop in players activity. They would totally have my support.

TheFallen that is why I want reboot, not because "I feel I'm behind". If I felt that I would not be here in first place...

@Kopogero_x - I can appreciate your ambitions for a UO Utopia as it does sound nice and equal for all. I think though that your understanding of human behavior is mis-understood. Just wondering, have you ever read the book Animal Farm?

Remember, in UO and IRL, some are more equal than others. This is just how the world works. Wiping this shard will accomplish nothing.

Magi I would appreciate if you stayed on topic, but if you're trying to make a point about my statement then I could also easily said, sure I would killed myself right now if I 100% knew I would have a choice in staying dead and maintaining peace to my soul as long as I could rather than being randomly brought in some random world again all over. If that's the case my odds of being a human again are quite slim and relearning and re-volving again might be fun and enjoyable, thanks to having no memories of any past lives, but I'm already doing that right now so me killin myself actually would not change much. I would also leave some people depressed and sad, people who I matter to and they don't deserve that.

I would rather "learn how to make fire" and do other activities I am not doing now or might never do with the state of the server rather than see myself or others never coming here or abandoning it for the limited options of what one can do that are available right now.

The "journey" to the end can be as engaging, trilling and exiting and I'm glad you mentioned it because that is another thing that's not used to the highest potential with how things are currently. There will be a lot of more ways one could journey in Ultima Online and a lot more ways to make their story and name in the world.

Of course. But just having a small idea as to what people have done to establish themselves / pimp their character / homes with trammie pixels, and seeing the kind of rage over certain things, I can *assume* not a person would want a wipe. The only ones unaffected by a wipe are brand new players. When I say noone, I'm talking about the people well established. We all know UOF, will, inevitably, die, like everything else in the universe, but noone that has spent hoards of money and time would want that anytime soon.

I'd rather wait til the server officially shuts down to end my time, and I've only spent 10 bux for an ethy. I've only been here a half year, and the people this post reaches have double, triple the time and money spent. Those are the "noone"'s that I speak for.

TLDR ; the only ones unaffected by a wipe are brand new players, that probably wouldn't give a shit, which only leaves the vets to feel the hurt.

By better experience you must mean a fresh start for everyone...
Which lasts as long as a "fresh start" can only last for.. then we are back here again no?

As for opening a second server, that's not even needed. We have TONS OF land to expand on constantly. Most of the land is from the-age UO as well that most old vet's have never even seen before.

The server is doing really well, the economy is at a good point, and everything is up to par honestly. We won't ever wipe the server because one person feels "Behind"... This is why easy skill gain and very nice gold drops were implemented from the start, so people who join UOF later in the servers life, can still get up to par to play and not feel so distant from those who have been playing for a long time... Other servers really, really struggled with this issue, and that is why putting in "INTENSE HARD SKILLGAIN" like it was back on osi or worse is a horrible, horrible idea for a 15+ year old game...

We won't be wiping the server, that's for sure.
