Un-Nerf Pet Speed, Tamer will be able to defend himself against a 5xGM PK and the problem will be solved.

At this moment a tamer in a champ spawn have the same strenght of a GM Beggar, and must defend himself from 999999 eqms with ebolt precasted.

Seems not fair :)

Blues killing reds gives a chance to drop a relic in your bank box! This is what blues want, right?
You can even call it a CRUSADER TALISMAN AND IT GIVES YOU BONUS DAMAGE TO RED PLAYERS!
I say fuck it and make it happen, there's not really much of an economy anyways and at least blues would be excited to see reds and the prospect of killing them.

Or make it so blues get some sort of currency for killing reds that they can turn in for a green unicorn or something.

I feel the issue is not to punish reds. If blues can't man up, then maybe provide a temporary PVM buff to blues who kill a red

It's embarrassing that we even still need to have this discussion and a sensible solution hasn't at least been tried.

I mean what's the worst that can happen, making/reverting a few changes here and there over the course of a couple weeks until it looks like things are settling down?

Small price to pay for healthy progression of the server if you ask me.

I hate that we are basically still at square one, with staff just asking us for input like there's just no hope in the world of getting the balance right through trial and error.

I know, I know, a few bad changes have been made over the years so maybe square one isn't the right phrase. So there has been trial. There has been error. And that's where we've been stuck for a while.

Fuck. Square one would be an improvement, wouldn't it? Get rid of the trammel zones for reds, get rid of auto buyback, get rid of the point of bloodshed.

Only Trammies here are the PKs, best I can tell.

Yes, the only trammies here are the people who willingly accept either 30k gold penalty upon death or not being able to play for 2 days upon death... certainly not the blues who cry about losing 35 of each reg and a harp and have no interest in defending themselves.

lets start adding faction cap (max 2x the numbers of the smallest faction)
remove guild alliances between faction and non faction (eqms wanna zerg? great now remember all your charaters name by name if they are blues)
remove the useless faction bonus (who the fuck cares about these bonus?)
slow down faction pets (why the fuck u want faction tamer pvp?)
remove faction pet res at 5k or increase it to 50k (long time ago was added pet statloss so people start caring about their pets... lets do it with faciton too, lot of people just put their pets in champs without caring)
increase statlos time to 72h (i would even prefer the shame on account)
increase the buyback head to 100k (we are all rich as fuck)

Its always hilarious to me how everyone loves to claim people are leaving to a different server because of PKs on UOF so the answer is harsher penalties for PKs. You guys realize this "other server" has 0 penalties for PKs, no stat loss, no gold penalty, nothing.

With that being said, feel free to nerf PKs as much as you want, all you will do is hurt the newer players who want to PK while forcing people who want to PK to roll even deeper #EQMSwinsAGAIN

10+ pks at the openin of the new dungeon, that's all you have to understand. u want to zerg? ok do it but you will have to suffer for the consequences if u die

it did happen in the past with power... yes but there were way more blues to kill them

Did you not anticipate lots of people being on, including PKs, for new content? There were 25+ blues and ~15 reds.

The selection bias displayed in the citation of numbers is ridiculous for this issue. Reds aren't fielding a zerg of 10 24/7. They most usually have 4-6. During peak hours one should expect more to be on, all around

15 reds in voice vs 25 or 50 noobs... who you think will win?
