Playing UO on Win2k ( cant use Launcher for Forever)

Hello,

i hope u can help me,
im playing UO on an old Panasonic Toughbook with Win2k at Full Screen,

but the Problem is i cant connect to UO Forever cause that Launcher needs Net Framework Version that i cant download / upgrade.

Mayb u can help me what files i have to download + change in UO folder to connect to your Realm?

We've seen this exact conversation before. It doesn't end well.

The truth is that using OS's that are past end of life are not supported by the software that you are wanting to run (.net and UO in this case). You will need to upgrade to a later OS.

im playing UO since 1998 so why i have to upgrade it? Windows 2000 is best for UO.
Btw im playing on the most Freeshards on it. U only need the client + .hues.

Well our software requires newer versions of software that you will not be able to use on Win2K.

You can actually log into UOF outside the launcher. You will need to download the UOF art files (note this will affect any other shards you log into unless you have installed UO a second time into a separate directory than the first for use of UOF) and configure Razor/UOSteam login box with the correct url/ip and port (see below links to the Wiki Pages on these).

some years earlier i played u needed the hue files + the cfg change to the login + special client version.
Is there no client version that i can download to play without razor/steam?

I do not know of a way (some curious folk out there may know of a way to change the classic client). You need (and its to your advantage) to use the third party applications to connect. I am assuming that due to your OS you cannot use them either?
