Here is a bit more era-accurate champion spawn info: http://web.archive.org/web/20021004...com/content/guides/champions/champguide.shtml
You could actually page a GM on that, AFK resource gathering (regs, wood, ore, etc) is banned on UOF. One of the few things you are not allowed to afk macro, along with Taming.had today about 10+ youngs afk wood gathering
looks like the only way to stop these abusing is to remove young status

They were taken care of already from what I heard. You could actually page a GM on that, AFK resource gathering (regs, wood, ore, etc) is banned on UOF. One of the few things you are not allowed to afk macro, along with Taming.
Young status should be a severely restricted mode of play, not a severely benefited one.
So as a fairly new casual player, I just created my 2nd account and did a poisoner. I did GM poisoning in my house, and figured out an F'd off way to make my alchemist fill the keg in a chest my poisoner was doing and wasted waaaaaaaaay too much money doing it because I was in a house... and did it without ever poisoning myself even though I had an if/then set to cure me.
I still have never gotten a power scroll or found one of these champion spawns everyone talks about.

I love this, "newbie island" would be great. No PKing, only [Young] players allowed. This is what EA tried to do with Haven on the official servers. They "destroyed" Haven in Trammel with an invasion and rebuilt a new city on the land called "New Haven" designed for this purpose. Tutorial NPCs and little quests were everywhere so you could learn the game.I do believe the intro to this game is weak, the tutorial I mean, if you've never played before and stumble across this game you're pretty much screwed unless you meet someone who's willing to help you get started, and considering the number of youngs I've helped it can't be many. Here's an idea, noobie island, have little tutorial npcs placed around the island to help explain game mechanics, farm a little gold off small mobs, maybe allow companions access for further help to these guys, and let them on there for 10 hrs of gameplay or so, then boot em, or give em the option to leave whenever, that way experienced kids can skip it, but if the make a new account and leave newbie island, they lose young status once they enter sosaria. I like this idea
Shut your mouth... It's more of a Graceful Gray wall color.hows the newbie dungeon lookin these days
still a maze of boring grey walls?
maybe time for an updated newbie dungeon?
