Peacemaking now a criminal act?

Trained Peace and Provo outside Jhelom graveyard and another player turned up.
Suddenly I were told I was making a criminal act when area peacemaking.

Made the mistake of hitting the same tune near Britain bank and I turned gray and was killed by guards.

Never read or heard that peacemaking has become a criminal act, it's madness!:(

I had this too.. took me ages to figure out it was my aoe peace :p though I don't remember getting the flat warning.... I'd just go grey and then get whacked by randoms.

Happened during the last brit invasion too... running about trying to help out by peacing groups of mobs, I'd go instantly grey and then everyone forgot the monsters and chased me down.....bit crap really. again. No criminal warning, just grey and gunned down by the people I was trying to protect :p

It was in the patch notes a couple months back. A welcome change when a blue is peacing your pets, but sucks that it flags AoE's too. I'd rather have it how it currently is, than not have it at all though.

It didn't used to be, but I'm glad it is now. If you, as a blue, are disengaging another blue from combat, it's either aggression or trolling. Now for popping trap pouches from snooping to flag as crim!
Thief template has been nerfed enough, no need to kill a certain play style even more. If someone is trolling your pouch just hold your blaze pouch or pouch bag and recall away.

Oh I see how you want it... you want to freely troll whoever without consequences. I think this game has enough trammel features don't you?

No one is asking for you to be guard wacked... you just need to turn grey to your victim.

No.

you have to thank an eqms member for it :D was his only job peacing pets just to grief :D
Sounds like good UO style fun.

No. Don't flip this and call the thief trammelized - the thief doesn't have an issue, its you that wants change so you cannot be griefed. Sounds like you are the trammy...

Wrong as usual... I want another option to defend myself against the griefing besides the suggested run away.

Fun fact: peacemaking a dexer PK will usually confuse them long enough to pop a recall off.

This is fun :p was doing some random/casual pvp nonsense the other night where a grey kept attacking me... so I just kept peacing them... running up to me and just no swinging haha :)

Meh... Off topic a little, I can honestly say that I have experienced both sides of the fence when it comes to PVM and playing a thief. Finally after many many years made a tamer and have farmed with it somewhat religiously, it is as they have always said, quite fun and a welcome break away from doing something that has been done hundreds of thousands of times. I have also noticed that folks still feel that they are entitled. Already lost a bonded mare, thought it was safe *no apparent way to lure it away* apart from the little oversight which are known as nets. Lesson learned. Have been murdered a couple of times in dungeons also, instead of throwing a tantrum I OooO'd myself back to life and had a nice chat with the killer.

Popping pouches, well the intelligent thing to do is if you are going to bank in heavily populated areas, either bank them, hold them or the easiest thing is to use a bank which is less populated. Turning someone grey because they snooped a pouch doesn't really make sense, with this logic any form of snooping should turn the thief grey which is something the vast majority of thieves would be completely against *not as though there are vast amounts anymore*.

You have plenty of options right now that you are just not using. Changing a mechanic that has been in place for forever to suit your frail constitution doesn't sit well with me.

Gold pouches are a new mechanic. Popping them is an aggressive act... be it for gieifing and or as a pvp tactic. The aggressor should turn grey to the victim.
