I know is this a very broad area with a lot of variables, but I want to know average prices for housing. I'm not after anything in a prominent area, just a bit more square footage than my 7x8 and I've struggled to find out how much house plots are selling for here.

You'll see the smaller ones mostly for 250k+ for a bare lot. There is a 10x10 (I think) and a 7x7 near my housing for 300k and 200k respectively.
