WTS Newb PS question

Never have used a PS but say if im 7x skills all 100 and i use a 120 taming and a 120 lore PS i havta take 40 points off of my other skills for the taming and lore to gain correct?

Okay, so, here's the Earth. Man, that is a sweet Earth. It's round.....anyway...


So when you want to raise a skill above 100 points, you first have to eat a 105 PS, then raise that skill to the 105 threshold before you can eat the 110, then raise to 110, etc, etc.
You get a maximum skill cap of 720 once you eat powerscrolls, in any skill, in order, to 120.
Once your taming or lore is 120, you'll only have to sacrifice 20 points in another skill to raise the other to 120, because your total cap is now 720 vice 700.

Yes. You can't go straight to eating a 120 from 100 though. Just keep that in mind. Plus a 120 taming will run you around 10mil. Unless you score one in a champ or something.

Cause i ate a 105 didnt hit the 105 skill top and ate a 105 maxed then ate a 110 and maxed it on the other skill

In your skills menu, look at your highest skill, make sure you hit 'show real', then hit, show caps, and look at the total cap at the bottom, subtract your skills from that number and that'll tell you how much room you have to raise.

Yea and sorry at work right now to check skills but yes my caps as of now are 105 and 110 lore is maxed taming is 102

No worries, so I believe the way it works is when you hit 110 in both, or 720 total skill points, you'll have to start dropping in another skill.

No. Your total skill cap past 700 only goes as high as the highest ps you've consumed. Since he only ate a 110 his total cap is 710. Eating a 105 in another skill wont raise it to 715. You need to eat a 115 ps to do that.

So whatever your highest ps consumed is will be what you get for extra space. Since you want two skills over 100 you will always need to borrow from your other remaining skills. If you have 110 taming and want 105 lore you have to take 5 from something else. Once you get 110 lore you'll need to take another 5. Then if you get a 115 you get 5 points more in your cap. Get a second 115 and you again will need to borrow 5 more.
