New currency

No tax system in place for it, but with the recent drop in gold, what if mobs dropped 1 gold sink vendor coin each? Or maybe high level creatures only, or something.. Then make items obtainable only from those coins, costing obscene amounts of course.

I know I'd be out farming a lil more..

Gold vendor coin specific items? I guess like platinum coins, but a lower grade.
