need some help with LJ

I can't get LJ past 88.8. I'm runnin around hittin trees with my hatchet I'm fed I restarted client and I've tried hitting one of my alts over and over. What am I missing?

You're probably at the 700 skill cap. You'll need to point the arrow down on another skill before you will gain lj.

nah nah that's not it. I only got 650 real points on this toon I got what I need pointed down. thanks for the suggestion though

that's weird, I GMd with hatchets attacking my alt..

Maybe you're just getting super unlucky with no gains.

eat / drink / attack a few mongbats then keep chopping away..

Fighting with an axe seems to gm LJ faster than chopping alone: try tacking a few whacks at your alt to see if you gain any better.

When I got to around 90 I went to a couple of the low end dungeons and hacked the crap out of ettins and the like. Skill went up pretty quick doing that.
