My first week in UOF.

No no I just didn't want my only input to be that everyone is a douche lol.

There are, unfortunately, tons of the shit where you eat types here on UOF that don't understand what it's like to play in a place that doesn't have a huge following. Freeshards don't need players driven off by people who pat themselves on the back for that kind of thing.

Hope you find what you're looking for here and if you need anything let me know!

The rule was put in place because some shards were greatly over-populated. You couldn't even log into some at times because they were maxed on accounts that were logged in. Five characters per account, each holding a house.. if you notice when you click your house sign you will see "grandfathered", that's when that came into being. Even after one house per account instead of character, as long as you didn't place another house, all the houses you had on that account would remain safe. Put up a new house and the others start deteriorating.
What I would suggest here is that they announce that as of a certain date they will start enforcing the two account rule. During the time until that date, if you have two accounts, decide which you want to keep and start moving stuff over. On the date, drop the excess accounts and their houses. But, realistically.. theres probably a lot of behind the scenes find/family allowances going on. And it IS a free shard, they can treat friends and family differently. Free shard mean.. well.. yeah.. they ARE doing you a favor.. so try to be nice as you can while you're not frustrated and hope they can understand when you are.

Wait! You are saying I have to drop my 11 other houses and keep 2? :(

Halygon, you're just trolling now. I'm saying that if I had my way, they would enforce the rule on everyone. But, it is a free shard so I'll certainly give them leeway to not act like I'm paying them money so demand equal treatment. That part is up to them. Its a nice shard, has its faults.. then again who doesn't? Its great that they are kind enough to let us play free, and there a saying "only great men can have great faults".. so I'll give them a fault or two. Sure would be nice to not see new people having to manage to accumulate several hundren gold to buy a house before they feel like they are home here. I think there would be more players if there were fewer accounts.

No you are right, that was a straight up troll. I was in a merry mood when I posted it. Personally I like the two house limit. Gives ya a chance to have a business (vendor house) and also a personal residence. More then that, its just greedy and unnecessary. You could actually argue that one per IP would be best, but I think that may be harder to enforce than just saying you have one house per account and two accounts per IP.
