That house is a donation tier reward..it is available to everyone. It isn't favouritism when you pay for it. If you were going to cry favouritism, I'd at least cry about the town hall the Trinsic guild has ownership over in Trinsic.

However, we reward loyalty and player ran establishments/RPing. Trinsic is a loyal RP guild and they have been given something fitting their RP, loyalty and contribution to the community. We also gave the guy who does weekly auctions a building in Serpent's Hold. If you would like the same thing, run some sort of reoccurring event for a few months and then talk to me.

Coming on the forums and crying corruption without asking anyone for a back story just makes you look like a fool.

OSI had item bless deeds. Get over it. Anyone could win the raffle. In 2 years I think there has been 2 or 3. You MAYBE see someone with one once or twice a month? I'm not sure what the problem is.

Yeah, they were extremely rare, only existed in the game for a very short period of time, and they were removed because they were grossly imbalanced.

Pardon me for being new here, but was this raffle funded by donations?

I personally think it's awesome we have some blessed items around. Of the 3 that exist, i've only seen this trin guy running around. He is mostly harmless and pretty much cannon fodder anyways.

On a side note, i will pay this Trin trammy 15m gold for his spear - no bs.

Imagine the crying that would happen if a notorious pk got his hands on said weapon...

I believe 1 gold and 2 donations. Really though, what is the issue? You'll see it once or twice a month if that, it has the most minimal impact upon your game play. Also, everyone had a chance at them. You DON'T need to donate to get coins. You can farm for gold and buy coins from someone else, thus bypassing the need to donate real money for anything.

I'm not trying to justify their existence, because I don't have to. I could just delete this thread. However, I don't mind there being a logical debate about these things as long as you are willing to look at it from all sides.

The only time we run one of these raffles is when we seriously need to sink gold or donation coins. Those were the only time and only reason these were ran. We don't take adding blessed weapons or armor to the game very lightly, which is why there are 2 or 3 of these in a 2 year time span.

I'm pretty sure they were not removed either. I would think something like that would have made it here:

It also appears that people still own them in modern UO and they are primarley used as a status symbol.

It is what it is. It's your server, you'll run it the way you want. I have no say so anyway.
But for what it is worth the vets can see something is fishy. Every successful server falls into this.

Maybe I'm wrong, who knows. But this isn't my first rodeo.

Just because OSI had them that doesn't mean that we should have them too.
and personally I would rather have too much gold and donation coins on a server

Your conveniently placed double 18x18 right next to a champ spawn....could have a rather large impact on the champ. Considering I have fought some of your house hiding reds there...

Okay, they were re-introduced twelve years later after they had become almost entirely irrelevant. Looks to me like an item bless deed is worth about 800g and a [Blessed] tag on OSI, whoopie.

I'm totally down with trammies having fun with colored cloth or disgusting hues or whatever so long as it doesn't give them an un-fair advantage. This is the kind of shit that killed uoforever, and why I left after having an account since nearly ten years ago. Getting started on a new server is hard enough. Getting run down by some dork with more money than sense makes it worse.

I have never had the TRIN guard house, or the blessed items, affect MY GAMEPLAY on this FREE server.

It has 0 impact on the daily lives of every UOF player. Favouritism would be, lets say to give the guild POWER all item blessed deeds or something. This is just rewarding those who uphold UOF values.
