More PK's then not?

The red population is so high because they have so few targets and they have a pretty incredible success rate. They want to be running around everywhere for max exposure while the typical UOF farmer wants to hit one spot quickly, recall to the bank/house and move on to another spawn with minimal exposure.

On OSI, the blue/red divide was quite large because most worthwhile spawns would have 5 or 10+ random blues waiting around for kills. Surely you remember waiting your turn for a lich lord in Deceit 4? If a random red ran up to a spawn like that back in the day on OSI, they were usually ganked by the masses. We don't have a big enough population yet for that.

To be honest there aren't that many pk's. The pk's are just really organized and have played for a long, long time which makes them extremely experienced compared to people new to the game or just coming back.

Try to create some more macros like people are suggesting, it really is not hard to get away since you can see them coming.
Bank often, using a few more recall reagents is better than losing all the items you just took an hour getting.

Once you get things setup right, you really shouldn't have huge issues escaping. We have a very healthy population here so that means all types of play styles, people who want to make friends and people who want to kill you.

Might be an understatement. Just because the Pks aren't rolling doesn't mean they aren't called in or logged onto when a victim is spotted. it wouldn't surprise me to hear that 95% or more of the active UOF accounts have one or more PKs attached.

Shane do you still intend to bring in the bounty hunter and account wide shame system?

Once again I will state I didn't want this to turn into a flame war. I'm not the type that whines and complains, was mainly looking for suggestions on how to handle the situation. To be honest I was hoping someone would say "Well our guild's all about hunting reds" to which I would have replied "I'm your huckleberry." It seems the suggestions most people give to deal with the pk threat on this server involves retreat or pacifism, which is kind of a bummer.

Yep! I actually mentioned you in another thread I found when I did the search for the recall macro. I didn't end up going with that one though, but I do have one now. I will also note without a horse, they can still get you faster then it can be used, so I have a horse again now as well.

You might get the "our guild is all about hunting reds" if the proprposed changes ever make it in.... but no one is holding their breath. Even then you'll most likely see guilds that roll play both side. They'll make their decision as to what side to play depending on who else is logged on. So you'll never get that true anti PK group becuse their reds are only 1 of 3 accounts away.

Join a guild of reds that kill other reds. Not only will you be safe from the reds in your own guild, but you can also call them in if you get attacked by someone else

Same old, never changes, excuses to balance world debt.

Please do not attempt at attacking someone's game-style, they will in force, defend their delusional god given rights into explaining why there is not a problem. The majority of this place knows there is a problem, which always gets removed and brushed under the carpet because of the so called Elitist red tide would leave to another server if proposed changes made it in, we can't have that of course.

The same applies to third party programs such as steam and sallos *which you really have to use nowadays*, remove them and buh bye three parts of the server. The best thing to do is just make a thief and grief your little socks off until *wait for it*, THE THIEF GETS ANOTHER NERF!!! WOOOHOOOO...

I have a solution to the red tides, OPEN UP THE LOST LANDS!!!!!!! With that, there will be more places to farm, a new dungeon, new PVP, New taming spots, new fishing spots, great death-gate spots and potential for more housing.. But hang on a minute, is that a stampede of feet I can hear rushing here...???

"BUT IF YOU OPEN THE LOST LANDS, THE SERVER POPULATION WILL BE SPREAD OUT MORE LEAVING THE SERVER LOOKING EMPTY" this could be a problem but the issue with this opinion can be translated into :

"BUT YOU WILL SPREAD OUT ALL OF THE BLUES SO WE WILL HAVE TO WORK OUR ASSES OFF TO GET KILLS WHICH WE NEED TO MAKE OURSELVES LOOK COMPLETELY BADASS BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO GO OUTSIDE AND MAKE OURSELVES LOOK BADASS IN THE REAL WORLD!!!!"

Wow, that was a lot of caps, but I am just keeping in check with a high percentage of the PVP group here...TAKE NOTE how I said high percentage and not 100%, done for a reason it is, to see those elitist, pompous, snot sniffling scum balls react in a way which portrays inevitability.

I have spoken... again.

EDIT: Note how I did not single out a single guild here, cause I am being diplomatic, see....

People just had a 3 week event where they could farm in town under guard zone protection.... maybe they got a taste of that WoW life and are hooked on trammel?

Plenty of solutions to the "red" problem:

1. Recall as soon as you see a red
2. Farm in a less PKd spot
3. Create or Join a guild of anti-PKs to fight the reds and protect you while farming -- they can be statted, you cannot
4. Create of Join a guild of PKs to fight the reds and protect you farming -- EQMS is always recruiting

Oh how different your opinion would be if the boot was on the other foot... HOW different it would be..........

Another proposal, turn everyone red and there would be no need for changes... [e YEA!

Oh I will just sneak this in here, without people who enjoy peace and solitary game styles *sometimes compared to Trammel game-style,* you would never have anyone to murder in dungeons so please, stop stereotyping people with your somewhat obsessive attitude..

*EDIT* :- Most of the server has a red anyway...
