Here are two of my biggest DOHs when I started playing. Maybe they are helpful to newbs. Maybe I am just a bit slow…
- CREDIT
Say credit to a banker, and all gold and checks disappear from your bankbox and are transferred to your account balance. You can then draw checks for amounts you like (“check 10000”) or “withdraw 1000” directly into your backpack.
Before I learned this, I drew checks of 50.000 each time my bankbox stopped to accept gold. To then get checks of a different amount, I clicked on some of those 50.000-checks, transferred them back into piles of gold, and then tried to get a larger check. Until a check fell on the ground because of a full bankbox. DOH!
- Securing doors of classic houses
You can leave the door of a classic house unlocked, secure it (just like chests) and set the access level to co-owner (or whatever). Other co-owners can then enter the house without a key, and for everyone else the door is locked.
Before I learned this, I made copper copies of my gold key, distributed them to my other chars, and as they aren’t blessed, I was always worried. Reminded me of our guild castle back in 2009, when someone had a key stolen, and the whole castle was looted dry. So I thought that was still the way it worked. DOH!
