Meta training

so I hear pretty much just train on things with as much or more hp than your meta for max exp.
Also if I bard mobs on each other will my meta still gain max exp if the mobs aren't attacking him?

It needs to be actively attacking/argo on your pet. Otherwise no gains.

Blaine's info is incorrect for meta pets. Any damage they do becomes exp when the mob dies. No matter the aggro or kill shot.

He's thinking its like the dexer talismans. I don't think he has a tamer so he has never leveled the pets.

Yeah sadly that's all I've played with talisman wise. Sorry for the wrong info.

You gain xp = to damage done unless the mob is too weak and then you gain 25% of damage done and if the mob is strong enough you gain a bonus 10%. The only thing you lose by provoking mobs is the damage they do to each other. The really big boy Paragon will regenerate a lot of hp and you can therefore dump or provoke on them as the amount gained is capped at their max hp.

actually u get a 10% (i think) bonus xp for damage done to a paragon.. so u can get 110% of the paragons hp as xp...

That's just because of the HP > greater than your pet thing. Paragons almost all have XP above a lvl 7.

I think the only things that matter for actually getting the XP are being on screen when the spawn dies and I wanna say that you don't get the XP if you are dead when spawn dies. I might have missed the XP gain when this happened in the past, you may still get it I never really followed up 100% I just try not to be dead as much as possible because...you know...dying is no bueno.
