Event crystals on the purple looking vendor at the wbb. they are 18 full crystals I think.

He doesn't seem to be active... I take it he is only open when there is a big event?

They occasionally take him down temporarily for bug fixes and potential new rewards. Possible one of the two is going on

The [rewards command seems to be active and has several eggs listed under Usables.

Vendor needs removed. Like yesterday. Needs to be more information about the various [commands along with the information and the news & patch notes Pentagram on paperdoll, or a gem to click on the paperdoll to bypass the manual commands. There are empty pages that could be utilized.
Also the lack of rewards and the navigation of the menu are straight up awful.

I bet even half the people who play don't know that you can click on the pentagram on your paper doll. I didn't for a long time. I also know hardly any commands.

So I have 0 crystals... besides doing special events, can I earn them any other way?

Nope, they only drop from special events and during Invasions. Your best bet is to buy them off players or farm during events

18 full crystals. 3 shards per full crystal. Around 150k or so per shard. 8.1m give or take for an egg and from what I hear you want Bloody Talons ASAP as its a bear to level so ~8m for that and 2ish mil for a stone.

It can be hard to commit the hours required in such a short time... that's why invasions don't work for everyone .
I think it could work if we had more week long invasions, like once per month, or just more invasions in general, but you are very correct
