Meta dragon steed combo vs spider

What do you prefer and why?
I think for damage out put a meta dragon and WW is best but a steed and meta dragon is best for rda boss and high hp mobs.
I haven't had any experience using a spider but i assume its great tank with less need to heal it but slightly lower damage out put than a dragon steed or Ww combo

Spider sucks, plain and simple.

Anybody trying to tell you otherwise is just trying to rationalize the time and money they spent on it.

Considering the price tag on both the egg and relics, it needs a huge buff.

I own a maxed out meta dragon, steed, and spider (only lvl 5 carapace, but other 3 maxed).

They are better at different things, but yes, the spider I think is very good.

Destard, Tera, Shame = the spider is the best pet. You can leave it in the middle of spawn and it wont die until lvl 3 (except shame it dies at level 2). In the meantime you can earthquake around it or drop poison. fire fields, or 1 ev + the other stuff. I have done these champs all 4-5 times with the spider and gotten top score every single time (by a long shot, 20k+ minimum)

Despise champ the spider is super handy as the archers on lvl 2 hardly hurt it, while they wreck the dragon and steed. But overall, the dragon and steed get a higher score at this champ. With a large group you can just send the spider into the middle alter area to tank the initial onslaught while your guildies pick off the mobs. I've lost plenty of dragons doing this, but the spider handles it perfectly.

Abyss, Wrong, Deceit, Cove - The dragon and steed perform better here.

Basically the spider gets its strength from being able to tank a ton of damage and drop necrosis (huge AOE attack) on lots of mobs. If the mobs do too much DPS then you cant let the spider just sit there while you use your mana to gain score with supplementary DPS.

The spider also makes the Dragon RDA super easy, it cant be poisoned, so you can solo it if you wanted to. But the dragon, steed combo are best for RDAs as the single target DPS is where they excel.

Yeah,, the spider does its own thing. You can either sit back and whack off to Alck's provocative picture posts, or you can supplement the damage to increase your score. I prefer Alck's posts.

Tbh it depends way more on the player than anything. Most people don't know how to get the most out of their pets or talismans. Berserker drag/steed and spider are all pretty comparable and all do have tasks they are best suited for.

For the best answer to your question you would need to ask about a specific situation.

Agreed. I love how versatile these new pets are and how they're suited for different situations.
Which is why I'm crazy enough to attempt one of each.
My dragon + steed combo is nearly completed, then onward to spider.

Yes you can own all 3, but you cant have them all out at once. Steed = 2 slots, Dragon = 3, Spider =4. I have 2 120 tamers now so I transferred the spider to one and kept the Dragon/steed on Zelda

Night+Dragon or WW+Dragon is the best.

You can easly finish the champ 4th / 7th and you drop 80% of the time, 100% of the time if you use two char.

When pet die cost 0 in ss and petball.

Also perfect for farm gold for the same reason.

Meta Dragon+ Meta Steed ( Paralytic + gold)= most damage/most gold out put.

more paragons = more chance to do more damage at any champ/spawn/rda

paralytic= takes any mobs mana down to 1, sooo once that balron,ancient wyrm, w/e it is you can paragon in game (besides harrowers) dumps on your pet and you heal thru that.. sit back and watch the bandies fly.

there is not one mob i wont turn paragon with a paralytic, yes i do fail on the AWs once in a while, but non the less i come out ahead 95% of the time with this combo.

in the end, i still dont think a spider would out score if someone really pushes with this combo.

but what would i know...
