If there was an actual market value for training, it would be faaaaaaaaar more than 100-400k for a level 4 pet.
Say a tamer makes 100k per hour while farming, so that's the cost of one hour of a tamer's time. Stage 1 is at least 2 hours. Lets say stage 2 is the double. On a normal farming day, at stage 3, you get about 15k per hour.
That's a total of 16 hours to reach stage 4. That's 1.6 mils.
