I run this and walk up to trees and it emotes what I've farmed and when the tree is out of wood.
(Notice where I am in relation to the tree)

Be sure to set this to YOUR axe - Right-click and select re-target.

I've started using this and it works very well! This also got me to figure out how to find the Macro folder and edit the macros with NotePad instead of drag and drop commands. Thanks for posting it!

Same here. I died 3 times in 5-10 minutes when I first started cutting wood. I had no idea there would be snakes 1 shotting my non combat toon. Died in 1 hit too.
