I always wonder how we're supposed to contact the people who leave those rental contracts there... Lots of nice places to rent, but what do we do?

It's being refreshed obviously.
your only other option is to stand under the sign as a ghost in combat, with your contact info in your profile.
At the very best, the owner will see it, and it's pretty obvious... otherwise a friend refreshing for him will see it and potentially relay to him.
