Looking for a no-grief place to move.

New to UOForever. Used to play UO in the early 2000's and recently got a hankering for it.

I worked my fingers off for two weeks and saved up enough for a small house. I placed it yesterday in what I thought was a non-obtrusive spot but almost instantly started getting grief from a local band of reds.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Fel guy from way back and don't mind a little PKing. But these guys told me that I was on their land, that I need to move the house and that they would camp the house until it was moved.

So my question... is there a place where a new guy can drop a small house without causing the locals to have a little tantrum?

You might've just got unlucky are you perhaps in the area between Vesper / Covetus / Minoc / Cove? That area is home to a lot of reds. Might want to consider moving, anywhere else!

Yes. Near rat valley.

This is good advice. Are there other areas that should be avoided or does 'anywhere else' suffice?

Not that I know of, I have a vendor hours near Minoc Moongate and I frequently travel between Cove/Minoc/Vesper and always see reds. I think it's because Bucs teleporter is right there.
