Length of time for Murderers

Hello,

So I was farming up in the Brit cemetery when this guy comes over and gets the killing blow on my zombie. He of course loots the corpse before I can. He then turns to me and attacks me and kills me. He was a blue guy. I reported him as a murderer. I run back up and get some of my items he didn't want. I see him and he's still blue. What?

I would like to propose that if someone murders someone, that they are flagged a murderer for a much longer duration. Not right that a blue can just kill anyone they want, kill a couple mobs, and be back to blue in a few minutes. He killed me again as a blue. There needs to be a higher price a murderer needs to pay. I know he killed many more guys around the cemetery because I saw many ghosts over the 40 minutes I was up there.

I had some ring mail armor and a long sword. I have 100 str and a gm swordsman, but he still killed me in 2 hits. So he has much better gear and doesn't need to be at that cemetery unless he's just a griefer, which I believe he is.

I don't mind getting killed, it's the principle of this matter. You murder someone, you need to be turned red immediately for a longer duration. Not just turn gray or whatnot.

You don't go red until you've obtained 5 long term murder counts - and each count takes 24 hours to wear off. In theory they could have killed 4 people, and been reported for it, and not gone red. Once they've killed the 5th, it's 24 hours of game time (according to the wiki) to burn off the count.

Just imagine if that was the case in real life. Kill someone, get reported, but it doesn't really matter until you've killed 5 people. Shame!

The main problem will be all the population will be red on wbb roof waiting to returning blue instead playing :D

They do that now.. it seems silly counts can be burned while sitting in a protected area like Brit Bank, or even in your house.. With so many characters allowed, a person could feasibly play blue PK's and just keep burning down counts to manage it..

When I was first leveling, I saw them all the time.. 6-9 months ago.. The better players will generally all stay red - the blue PK's tend to farm off those with incomplete templates, or recently new back to the game.. it's pretty rare I get attacked by blues now that I'm leveled.. they'll sit, and watch and see how incompetent you are, then decide if you are a weak target then attack.. Pretty weak if you ask me..

It amazes me that we spend so much time trying to figure out stat loss and murder penalties to combat the pk (on a fel based shard that people joined partly because of this added risk) and completely ignore some of the griefing tactics by blue players. I have seen more people quit because of players luring spawn or stealing pets. Somehow this gets ignored or the player is just encouraged to buy some pet balls or hunt in the dungeons.

Ppl buy million in shiny mask and cloth but seems a sin buyng a petball, pet stealing is not a problem, ppl that got theire pet stealed is like ppl that go in the fields with fafnir complete suit + sword then cry cause someone looted it...

About griefing: what we are talking about? luring spawn mob to blues?
1) supereasy to avoid
2) the only guild i know that do that is $ against werkt, i really hope werkt with theire spider/dragon full maxxed talismans will be able to kill some deamons or blood elem...
