It's not the same? Gm can wear a lil armor 80 can not.

Personally I think that you should be able to wear leather suit without fail at gm stealth. Most servers including EA follow this method...i think lol

I think it's a fine trade off for the otherwise stealth friendly mechanics on UOF.

I think stealth here is well balanced:

-Tracking works from low level, and we can't wear armor while stealthing.

-But we get to stealth without counting steps, mount ethy while hidden, and we can stealth immediately after hide.

Any boost to one aspect of stealth will probably mean a nerf to another aspect. I like the other mechanics and don't want them to change.

Moreover I think its easy to just set a dress macro and be done with it.

I have a stealth archer as well. I have been using horned leather ar (chest, pants, and gloves). I know it is not a lot of ar protection but at GM Stealth, I am able to get around without failing. I have tested it with full leather and full horned. It seem that those pieces were the only ones a stealther can wear without problems. Any more pieces and the fails start happening. I also have 80 Stealth on my TMapper and can wear those specific pieces without much problems too.

yes, was so weird because i was using chest and pants, and never had problems, but that day i failed 2 times with leather chest and pants
