Yes but non "Young" players are making young character to take advantage of the system. That is what is being voiced in the post.

I've been saying it for a while, 60 hours of complete immunity is WAY too long.
I personally don't see the point of having it at all. There's no point trying to hide what the game really is, and getting PKed is something you are going to have to learn to live with. A lot of these players just quit as soon as they are no longer in trammel-mode. I believe the sooner you get ganked the easier it's going to be for you to accept it.

can't they just create a bubble around idocs like faction areas keep out non faction members...but for youngs? So the minute it goes idoc bubble goes up not letting any youngs in as well as kicking any youngs in that area out.
Or if they go near an idoc a gump can appear asking them if they wish to give up their status to participate in the idoc.

If you ask me, getting pwned at brit GY should be a rite of passage. That's what happened to me when I first started UO, I was dead in 5 minutes

With the companion system in place they could probably get rid of the young status. Just have the young dungeon be based on x amount of hours played and skill points. Taking the young status away may stimulate more activity with the companion system. Never used it personal, but I had played before. Maybe take the young status away and do a video hyping the companion system.
