Is a Meta Mage worth it?

Is making a Meta Mage worth it? I have a Meta Dexxer but that's "ONLY" because I can get Slayer weapons for a dexxer. You can't get Slayer spells books for a Meta mage at least without paying 10+ mill if someone is even selling it because you can't craft or get them any other way then from the very few players that paid real $$ for one.

So is making a Meta mage pointless atm since there aren't any Slayer Spell books that are easily accessible to get? Me personally I wouldn't bother with a Meta dexxer if it wasn't for Slayer weapons because Super Slayer weapons make you do twice that damage that makes them fun but with a Meta Mage you don't get that.

Playing a meta mage currently is more of a novelty char, unless you have a slayer book... then it becomes an actually competitive pvmer that can match meta dexers and tamers, but only in the places your slayer book can be used.

Shadow disciple is really good, focus is kinda meh, dispersion is pretty sweet in certain situations, and i'm still not convinced on the viability of vivify. Despite how difficult it is to train - meta mage is pretty fun if you're up for playing something a little different

Lvl 10 berserker = 50% damage increase.
Lvl 10 Mage = 200% damage increase.
With slayer dex 300% total without slayer Mage 300% total.

Meta mages without slayers are just as competitive as dexers. Look at the invasion leader board. Cino is a maxed out mage and if you watch him it is ridiculous how much damage he is doing and barely meds. He isn't even using a slayer book.

not anymore... i remember famara and coon dropping a pokemon in 2 combos...

metamages are so hard to level... you can't even immagine how hard it is untill you do it

but can you still abuse the shit out of talismans to run through spawn without taking any dmg?

Spirit speak restoring mana is an AoS feature. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do anything here except let you talk to ghosts, that is unless UOF has custom modded it to do something different.

What I'd like to know for those who have maxed their meta mage talisman is, how the fk did you do it? What's the best thing to ebolt endlessly until you've maxed out? Or is there a better way to do it? @Lexington @parsnip

Spirit speak is a must for Meta Mages. It does help passive mana re-gen while the talisman is active.
