Since we can no longer make private chat rooms for IRC, lets get back to this idea on why we cant have certain chat areas specific to what you need!! new comers, crafting, trade, pvp!!! omg this is such a good idea why cant we do this????

Who can no longer make private chat rooms? What does this mean? Anyone with an irc client and an internet connection can make any irc chat they want?

i dont know, i cant get into #uo today, and i tried to make a new chat/channel, maybe im just really bad at IRC, any help?

Apparently there is a different reason. At any rate, there is absolutely no difference between an irc chat channel and a Skype channel or a teamspeak or vent or raid call or whatever one uses to host a private channel of any sort. If it was shut down because it was under the provenance of something owned by UOF that's ownership's prerogative.

I remember when I first started up the replacement UOSteam forum. I was banned on forums for telling people about it. I've heard people being reprimanded for all kinds of private chat via skype and other methods of communication. Ever since my ban, I've tread carefully and remained fearful of punishment. So just a warning..tread carefully...it comes without warning

@Shane AssHat, Mar 11, 2015 is when i made this about channels, irc has been a problem for a long time and alot of people have said that in chat and on the forums. having seperate chat is what IRC really needs. i dont need to be in PVP/PK/GUILD/FACTION chats AT ALL, i own no characters and have no reason to care about aspects of the game i choose to not participate in . im not the only one who doesn't want to read certain aspects of the game because, they don't play that style or even have a character for that use.
