Instant death in Buc Tunnels

What is with this bug? I'm fighting solens which do almost no damage to me, and as soon as they die it seems I have a chance of instantly dying as well. I have died with 90+ hp from apparently no reason at all, and always happens at the same time the solen dies. This has happened about ten times.

Also I am getting flagged criminal left and right down there and all I'm doing is fighting. Is this a known issue?

They shit acid on the ground, wait for it to disappear before you loot and don't stand next to them when they die.

Everyone is flagged crim in buc's den. It's a pvp town.

I have Razor set to auto-open corpses. Is that triggering it? Or does it trigger when I pull loot away?

Also do I have to finish them off from ranged?

They poop when they die (queens only I believe), it has nothing to do with loot or opening the corpses. You just have to run for it when you finish them off if you're melee.
