In Desperate Need Of A Legendary Crafting Update.

I can barely move runic armor and slayer armor due to the fact no one wants to lose it. It costs a lot because it takes a lot to make. Now you can barely move BoD cloth.

That's what happens when you make something to difficult to make or obtain.

Nobody wants to risk loosing it.

Especially when you have roving mobs of PK's who Zerg dungeons laying waste to every player who they come across.

It really is a deadly combination to the shard health if you ask me

Nobody wants to spend days of in game time to make something only to loose it in a matter of nano-seconds to either a swarm of zerg PK's or a boss who can one hit you then have it looted off your corpse.

But hey they're always adding new content to the Donation Vendors that's extremely easy to obtain and you don't have to risk loosing!

Just pay them real money and you can have access to all the new sweet pixels and content your heart desires :]

Honestly I have only lost one suit of slayer armor to one of the Aussie dipshits, and only because I had him redlined for five minutes in Destard and I wanted desperately to kill him with my macer who was using a shitty PvP slayer weapon and who's slayer suit was built on a non-exc suit of leather AR for maximum meta talisman training.

The only reason I died was because I got hit by a couple firebreaths. That's it. That guy never stood a chance of killing my noobie dexer even though he was on an alchy Nox and geared for war. I had plenty of opportunity to recall when he was running away like the punk that he is but I just had to be the hero.

If you play it smart and have a char with a copied runebook and ready to gate/retrieve your gear when you die, you should be hard-pressed to lose slayer armor.

But that's not ry legendary crafting related. Even if you don't have 120 tink you can just buy a workbench from me :p http://www.uoforum.com/threads/crystal-workbench-make-your-own-slayer-armor.50461/

Yeah notice you said "guy" in your post, single PK  I wish I only had 1 PK come after when I was hunting, that would have been great.

I hardly ever encountered a single PK whenever I was out hunting, I was usually run down by a group of 3 or more.

Perhaps it's just the time of day that I used to play or the areas that I used to hunt but in the past year that I've been playing I've hardly ever seen a single PK hunting.

And thanks for the offer to buy a workbench but I hardly play anymore to be honest. Just log on to refresh my house and tinker around decorating them here and there, mark a few more Runebooks for my rune library for people who use it for the most part. Considering just selling my stuff soon and taking a break, nothing really for me on the shard at this point in time unfortunately.

However I can't seem to stay away from these damn forums!

No skill required! Just 120 tink to make the bench, anyone can use them once crafted so long as they have permission.

So it's "legendary" insofar as you need 120 to craft the bench but it has nothing to do with a soul forge.

Ah it was more just a shameless plug to try to sell my goods to anyone who sees this thread :p

I don't usually use any "good" armor in field PvP just to have peace of mind. When I die on a dexxer, I will only be losing something like a Bronze runic or power+ magic weapon along with a dragonscale suit.

I'm a fisher and have collected a lot of blue scales. I've sold many suits and still have plenty of leftovers, and losing those suits in PvP is painless to me. I think those suits might have higher durability when being hit at with a weapon of mace type compared to the bone armor suits, so I actually prefer dragonscale plate suits instead of a few extra AR that barbed bone suits offer.

I do sometimes use high end stuff. I keep at least 1 char equipped with 62+ AR suit and either a golden runic or Vanq +15-25 weapon in case I need to recall in and fight someone solo and want a higher chance of success. Also, sometimes someone will kill you with high end stuff and as your ghost you can see that they're loaded and that is when you could recall in on a more equal level and fight. Sometimes it is just a mage and you don't need to buff your armor, but perhaps your weapon only if they have fort/invul armor, and sometimes it is a dexxer and you might want to up your AR, and, depending on what armor and weapon he has, your weapon as well.

I have seen plenty of solo PKs, but I have not been out exploring the world for some time. I used to do some dungeon crawling on my bard, but that was more than a year ago. I never came across "zerg" guilds that do nothing but flamestrike you or something similar back then.

The high end runic sewing kits mainly have their place in things like CTF, FFA, and dueling. One thing to think about is that you not only lose your gear if you're PK'd, but you also give those PKs something to feel good or proud about. Why even give them the satisfaction? The slayer armor and other high end armor has more of a place in the ocean no-radar zone or while doing treasure maps or perhaps also while doing RDAs and MiBs so long as you're paying close attention to the radar with 100 tracking. In other words, the less risky locations.

I'm fine with players not wanting to lose good armor suits and weapons, because that just means there will be less players having extreme amounts of AR and high powered weapons.
