I'm pretty new but one thing has me puzzled...

No I find Pkers to be a true annoyance though. It means that ALL of your characters have to be fighter mages to an extent in case a douchebag Pker decides to try to kill you. So those points that you need to use for defense and magic you cannot use to be a craftsman

Why is it that reds are allowed in town?

Its quite a bizarre affair to let them have the best of both worlds, back in the day it was a sacrifice for the red life (and not a huge deal as u have a house/mules/etc). One min there is a few of them just outside of town precasting etc and next min they are running through town banking away and so on.

Other than that the shard sure is alive and well.

I guess I'll answer your question, since nobody else apparently can.

Reds are allowed into town on this shard to help boost activity in the faction system.

On the plus side, there's really no reason not to allow reds into town here. The custom mechanics prevent red players from harming blues in town. They also can't do their banking anywhere but bucs den, wind or the duelpits.

Karl answered it on the first page.

The allowing reds in town isn't the issue specifically, it's that they camp outside of guard zones waiting to attack unsuspecting players.

The guard zone was reduced, Reds were allowed in town, that reduced the *Risk* involved in being a murderer. There is no penalty for being a murderer other than being flagged a *Red* and cannot give Murder Counts, and can be attacked anywhere. That is it, there is no reason to NOT be a PK other than to NOT be an asshole. having a PvM pure-build is mostly detrimental to your health here. Every build is roughly the same idea if you are planning to at least 1v1.

Again, I'll ask that you spot just pilling on post counts and actually provide something worth reading, wasting my time coming back to read your post to see you've got nothing intelligent to add.

Funny. I could say the same to you. Nothing about your post was correct. Literally none of it. When you have something intelligent to say, then you can come back. Till then stop posting.

Again you fail to point out anything specifically that is untrue. The guardzone is reduced (True), Reds allowed in town (True), Reds camping out of guardzone for kills (True, not often, sure and avoidable but still true), Reds cannot give Murder Counts (True), Dexxer/Mage/Thief builds are all similar to each other give or take 2 or 3 skills (True, not 100%, but again largely true).

You have anything worth reading to add or should I just totally ignore any of your post all together?

Yes let's make towns 100% guardzoned.... err, NO!

Classic style is that towns are guardzoned, where reds get zapped if they come in and someone called "guards"! Do you want that huh?

But this system is due to factions and the battles are sometimes really enjoyable even to just watch. When not faction related reds usually come there to getting hunted by some blues, which is fun too both sides.

Guardzone Reduced (Fact), Reds allowed in town (Fact). Those first two statements I made alone are true, so again, I will ask you to provide us with something at least entertaining to read, since you do not wish to engage in discussion of the topic.

I think part of the issue is, when Red/Grey attacks and you try to defend yourself, alas while running away, you cannot use the safety of the guardzone anymore. This is where the issue lies, in my opinion. It's highly abused system for thieves. Thieves love it and anyone who eventually uses one will too, but it's highly abused tactic that should atleast be looked at.
