I've said it before.., just cause it's a gold sink doesn't make it a good idea. Ruining someone else's style of play is not worth the gold removed.

lol your idea just gets worse everytime you post. Lets take all the play out of the game why don't we just bid on power scrolls instead of fighting champ spawnsl cuz that would take gold out of the economy. One of the flaws in your idea it that it takes away from pvp at idocs by auctioning them off and the people with the most gold would just bid on every chest sell the stuff to spread the wealth around and just buy the next idoc. When you have a house drop everyone that is there has the same chance to get a rare or cool item for everyone not just the richest people.

Might even bid 1k on a container with 1 item in it that happens to be a dono item. An IDOC could inject a shitton of gold into the economy depending on what is inside it. Actually, no. I'm not sorry. I'm sorry that IDOC hunting is the only thing you are clearly any good at. Wouldn't want people to actually go out and acquire their own wealth instead of leeching off of other people quitting the game.

you're right idoc hunting is something I am good at it is one of the skills I have picked up over the years I have played UO not the only skill I have learned. I find it funny that you have such hate towards idoc hunters is is just as much if a skill as pvp,taming or any of the other things a wide open game like uo lets you do.

Worst IDOC idea I've ever heard. On so many levels and in so many ways.
A few:
1. Congrats the richest players will always get the best houses. Think you can outbid flube's 90 mil (liquid)?
Say goodbye to the big score for the little guy. But hey you get to bid over the shitty plots, I'm sure that will be fun for a long time!
2. Gold is actually pretty in check on this server. Dono coin prices seem solid and real estate slipped just a tiny bit.
3. Everything Halygon said. It takes away (AGAIN) a whole style of play for a whole group of people.

One other thing. IDOCing does not mean you heard about an idoc and you went to it and waited for HOURS and then right before it fell these jerks came and killed you because they cheat.

I fell out laughing when I read this line.
What LITTLE guy are you referring to? 9/10 IDOC's are taken by the same group of people. They've been laying low, because they've been catching crap over using UOS Scripts to check Signes, but I doubt they're not still getting the score they were.. Greed knows no end.

The little guy is any person who actively finds a house on their own, tracks it and finds a way to loot/place it against any other competition. These people are to be commended, because instead of flocking to the forums to cry like a little *****, they find a way to compete within their own capacity. And yes, they exist. I started out here this way, people who later joined my crew started this way etc.

ROFL here we go again....
Placement script would be really bad unless the situation was perfect, it cant react to people blocking, it cant move around trash on floor. The same people place the houses every time cos of a cpl of things knowledge , experience and abit of planning.
I used to place alot (cba now 4 hr timers) and i know alot of the other people who place now. I also know for certain that they dont use placement scripts.
i haven't even read this entire thread but i imagine it goes something like the other 20 on the forums
1. Boohoo i sat at a idoc for hours and got killed by a organised group.
2. After i died 20 times and kept returning i was still to slow to place a plot cos everyone else is cheating.
3. i went to the next idoc and same thing happened with the same organised groups.
Please make idocs easier for my lazy arse i cba to run the world and mark them all, i cba to spend hours timing house to get tightest windows i can i just wana show up get some loot and place a plot.....
Seriously thou IDOC's at the mo are fucked enough if anything they should be put back how they used to be no one wants to sit around for a 4 hr random timer to get a box of empty box's. 90% of loot from idocs are pointless looting.
Anyone can do the same as the IDOCERS its perfectly fair, no placement scripts are used you just need to put in some effort and use your brain.

Find a different way to remove gold from the economy that doesn't include shitting all over another persons playstyle.
Who doesn't know how to Idoc properly?
Step 1. UOS Script your area that you've designated with the other 12 people you've shared your script with. When greatly is noticed, Mark.
Step 2. Monitor Greatly.
Step 3. Invite your 12 friends to a party, when the house goes from IDOC to About to Collapse your script will send a message to your party members so they have have their skills ready. (By skills I mean stop fapping, and pay attention)
Step 4. Profit.
