How to win War of Elements event

So my elemental ban katana doing 100 damage will net me 100 points.

My magic vanq+25 katana doing 100 damage will net me 200 points.

My runic katana doing 100 damage will net me 100 points.

Is that accurate?

No. your runic katana will do the same 1:2 as the magic vanq.

Slayer weapons are the only thing that effects the HP:Invasion Score scale.

Previously I said XP but that may be confused with talisman or relic XP. I was referring to Invasion score points.

Id be careful when using nice weapons, I got like 10 mins to run into the event last night and a verite elemental exploded my weapon the second it hit me. Pretty much called it a night after that bullshit (considering it took me forever to get into a portal without insta-gib in the first place)

Yeah. The valorites are done...for now. It is all air type elementals and toxic eles in Minoc. DO NOT take the town gates to the event. I guess staff didn't take the advice from multiple people to put the gates outside of the spawning area. @Shane @eppy @Swayze The people hurt the most and the ones most likely to use those gates are newer players and they are just being sent to their death the instant they go through. Move the gate exit into a safer area and just have a town crier or something spam which way to go. Alternatively put some supped up guards around the gate exits to at least create a buffer zone.

Happened last night to an unfortunate player. I think the gate took them to the Graveyard which must have had a hundred mobs in a small area. My meta dexxer and a level 7 pet couldn't make a dent with the rate of respawn. No hope in getting his stuff back.

Beserkers really benefit because if you have a runic (or regular weapon) equipped.. your relics are gonna be doing double points as well... so, just tread alone is 600 points every 20 secs. No way for a mage or tamer to compete with that..

lmao speaking for yourself really, you're the only one I've seen who needs that little push on the swing to roll a factioner. Plenty of people were on factioners during the earth event in Nujelm.

To say we haven't taken the advice is unfair. We developed an entire new invasion system that will have the ability to set where people come in with the gate.

So, yea... we kind of have taken peoples suggestions. It was the whole point of re-developing the entire thing.

Yeah that arms lore buff really gave beserkers an edge this time, especially with the nerf to slayer books and just straight up out dpsing meta tamers, unless you're playing twice the time a dexer is you aren't gunna compete.

The only time I've personally complained about the lack of pixels incentive for battle events is when they were running like 5-6 events per day.

Trying to compete for the leaderboard with no-lifers like Szapher who has the time to show up for each one is difficult when there's 6 events every day, so sure a little extra incentive is needed for me personally then.

It would be the push on the swing I would need to show that team sztackin kiddie that he's not the best, which he thinks he is because he's #1 on the leaderboard.

Rly hope they either wipe these current points again soon or add some pixels already ^^

They nerfed slayer books?? why?? I honestly can forsee people enjoying these events much more when anything goes for scoring, talis, pets, whatever u got, and just make it so people can't see the score until the end. It's more fair that way.

That said, archers, slayer weps, runic weps, whatever, should all be 1 point for every 1 damage. Kinda silly I had to change my template from archery because the gains were way too slow.

Its primarily used to finish someone off or to keep up offensive pressure during chases when a spell will drop.... 1v1 archery fire rate is too slow to be viable.

p.s.

all weapons have same miss rate

what they really need to do to make it so you can't miss more than 3 times in a row with dex. So if you miss twice, you will hit the next time.

Plain and simple reasoning behind it is that in PvP missing 10 times is just not good gameplay.
