How to win War of Elements event

Just a heads up... like the last event.. you still get double points when using runic weapons and double points for you meta relics if using a runic weapon... this is easily the easiest way to farm points.. I told even GM last event, nothing happened.. just did some quick tests, seems nothing has changed and you can still grind points WAY faster than any other way.

I only tested this for 2 mins to see if they had changed it from last time... didn't appear to be changed.. so, as I'm not playing UOF regularly, Ill let some of you check the numbers(while you can still see points).

They are disabling talismans on wednesday or thursday.

Last event, it didn't matter if you were using talisman... if you used a runic with a regular char, you would hit for 50 dmg and get 100 points... talisman helps a lot cause if you do Tread for 300 dmg you get 600 points.. someone should check a regular char using a runic.. prob still works.

I haven't tested this recently, but I think I checked last event.

As I understand it, when they switch to the new system, your ds and tread points will not count towards your score. I honestly do not know if we will still get tali damage bonus.

tonight was my first night putting in work with my meta mage but after reading the talisman part i logged. its 10x more effective to go on a provo dexxer if talisman relics dont work or the talisman.

puffy has been going ham daddy because he has a lvl 10 talisman with lvl 10 relics. its like acting surprised a maxed out meta with lvl 7 relics is getting top score at champs/rdas.

i knew after watching cino + uma in that vesper event, if you wanted to get top score you roll mage or zerker talisman and i started grinding to get my meta mage to lvl 10 and i'm sure it inspired a lot of other players to roll a meta character.

I figured he was going ham because he would need the extra points gap for when the tali stops giving him points.

i got 4th on a bard last event so its doable

with this system, a zerker vs meta mage... say the monster has 200hp, if zerker uses runic you can get 400points from doing 200dmg, then if you tread right when its about to die.. another 600 points... so, thats like 1000points from a 200hp monster...

I'm pretty sure a meta mage, just gets the same points as dmg done...

i cant even tell what's going on tbh. my archer hits and does 140 damage and appears to only get 40 points, then I switch to a one hander slayer and I'm getting equal points, then i switch again to a 2 handed short spear slayer and it's 2x points per damage. None of these weapons are runic.

@Derwolf yeah, it doesn't make sense at all to discriminate against tali users for these events. It's not like meta pets are also being disabled. (as far as I know) However, apparently they are adding in spendable tokens as mob drops during the event, so at least talisman will come in handy for farming those. Which is apparently also the cause for the delay on implementing the new scoring system.

Since the new system won't let you see (even just your own) points there isn't really a way that we can tell what has been fixed or what is our isn't still giving points.
