How to raise Lumberjacking past 100

I am GM Lumberjacking and bought a power scroll 105 so I now have 105 cap.

Thing is, I can't get a single gain past 100. Pre-100, I could gain a full point an hour, now after 5 hours I can't even get 0.1 for a 100.1.

Am I missing something? I've tried chopping trees as well as fighting, nothing gets me gains.

For some reason I think you need to use SS to gain past 100, for lumberjacking only. Read that somewhere the other day.

It's true. LJ must be bugged at least for gains through combat. Not sure about tree chopping, but Eating SS seems to be the way to go.

Fortunately the scrolls are super cheap. Or they were before they released colored wood yesterday, who knows what people price them at now.

I went from 100-120 2 weeks ago buying almost only 2k scrolls, but got a few 3k and 4k scrolls just to finish up. Seeing em to 10k+ now, glad I did it when no one wanted it.

Also, anyone know if there is a post somewhere detailing the new wood, etc?
I made a couple of posts, but the gist of it is as follows.

the first 3 new wood are medium for gathering, the last 3 are really rare. Frost seems to be 150 to 1 against normal logs. Which means if you gather 150,000 normal logs worth of wood you should get about 1k frost also.

They are not tied to specific trees. You know how mining the ore is always the same and you can mark spots for valorite? Well with wood it is random so the same tree will make oak one time then normal wood then whatever so no marking to specific trees.

I think for carpentry it is just different colors. For fletching the wood seems to have a random chance of imbuing magical properties on the weapon. It is currently unknown the chances of this or if certain properties only come from specific woods.

Thanks a TON for this man. I think I will use all those SS and make a carpenter now lol when you say magical properties, do you mean vanq, substantial, exceed, accurate, etc?
