How to kill a..

...paragon poison elemental with a mage\tamer. Yesterday i had A LOT of problems vs a paragon poison elemental (and then i decided to kill it with my archer) beacause it keeps poisoning my pet and i can't cure it from the damage (i cure always the poison and then..my pet is poisoned again)..so, there is a specific tactic or a specific pet to kill this kind of mob which constantly poison the pet?

Maybe this kind of thread is useful also for other players who don't know how to kill a specific mob with a specific template.

I don't play a tamer but I have a Provo Archer with mage and med. He'd Provo the paragon onto everything in dungeon while dps ing with elemental health exceptional bow crafted by my Fletcher.

I know, in fact as i wrote i then killed it with my provo Archer. The purpose of the thread is not simply "with wich template do u kill this mob?" :)

I would say since your a mage tamer, I would drop an EV so it engages the EV before sending your pet in. This will allow you to focus fire on the Poison Elemental for the length of your EV and hopefully burn it down enough that you wont have trouble healing through the rest. Or you can try to time it to where you All Come your pets back to you and drop a second EV shortly before the first one disappears. Once the PE redirects to the second EV send your pets back in.

Now this is purely theory crafting because I'm not sure if Poison Elemental Paragons can dispel the EV but I know I used EV's on regular Poison Elemental with no issue.

There are timers on your heals that go to your pet based off of your Dex, and if your pet was poisoned or not whenever you started your bandage. If your pet is poisoned before you start your bandage it will take roughly 6.75 seconds for the heal/cure. If your pet is not poisoned you will waiting roughly 5 seconds before the heal/cure goes off. Based off of these times, while healing your pet you will cast cure, wait for either 4.5 seconds or 6.25 seconds and then release the cure. This will ensure that you cure your pet juts prior to your bandage going off for the heal. This will allow you to heal through the pesky paragon mobs and such.
