How to get rideables out of combat?

After i say all come or all follow me and want to ride up my mare, it says its still in combat. its that supposed to be or is there a way to get it out of combat and insta ride it ?

it's so you can't use your pets in PVP.

I have an "all stop; all follow me" macro that is usually pretty effective...
ill try it in a macro, however all stop and all come didnt work when doing it manually, but with a macro it may be fast enough, ill try.

so a tamer shouldnt be able to defend himself with a weak nightmare, and be able to ride it to run away when needed ? sounds a bit ridiculous. first server ive seen it like this

Try out to have a Dragon with you and spam "all guard me". No need to die on a Tamer on UOF IF you know what you're doing. It's fine as it is.

im talking about RIDEABLES. not dragons, not white wryms, death beetles or whatever.
im talking about that you cannot hop on a rideable mount after saying all follow me. i cant see how being able to ride a mount and run away as a tamer is dangerous for the pk

Thing is, that without restrictions like these, you'll see a bunch of Stuntamers, Fencertamers, all that crap. They don't want that here. Hence why they added that delay. Hate it or love it, I'm pretty sure that it'll stay.

K A Z is right... to prevent ridables from being used (as much) in PvP, they utilized an old school rule (it was like this on OSI a long time ago) that prevents mounting if your pet is attacked (or attacks).

Once your pet is attacked, the normal rules of aggro come into play. There is a time period that you must wait for the pet to no longer be fighting. I "think" peacemaking instantly stops the fighting, but you would need to test that out.

Essentially what you will need to do is: 1) Give a command that will stop the pet from fighting a mob 2) wait for the aggro period to time out 3) mount your pet

Here are a few descriptions of the commands so you know what to use:

All Stay - Pet will stay in one place | If currently fighting, it will ignore you and continue to fight
All Stop - Pet will stop doing everything, including following you (and wander around) | If currently fighting, it will stop fighting till attacked again
All Follow (me) - Pet will attempt to follow you if not fighting |If fighting, pet will continue to fight
All Come - Pet will STOP anything it is doing and follow you | If fighting, pet will stop fighting and come to you
All Guard (me) - Pet

if you allow alchy mages and tank mages with defensive wrestling, stun or fencing tamers are harmless. so i was wondering if this "restriction" as you call it, is intended or not

you should have been here on server start then. Pets are more powerful on here than for example UOG or DFI.

If they did allow pets to be mounted while flagged, and they were more widely used in PvP, all your favorite pets would need to be nerfed to prevent overpowered tamers (like they aren't already lol).

On UOG, my scribe dexxor eats bola tamers for breakfast 2v1, but on UOF, a single mare will destroy you before you can swing enough times to kill the tamer.

only thing which makes dragons for example strong in pvp, are the firebreaths. on UOG or DFI firebreaths account for 39-41 damage aswell. their melee hits are 20-25 aswell depending on armor and their cast power is the same too. apart from the fact you can own 2 dragons on dfi atleast, which makes 82 firebreath damage which makes them op

nightmares always had stronger cast powers than dragons and wws, however only had a 25dmg firebreath and lower melee hits.
the only thing which makes pets here stronger is their armor. dragons on dfi and uog have 60 armor afaik, and they have 75 here. however thats only useful in pvm anyways

besides that, mares are the same as on dfi and uog, if ANYTHING is different please aware me, and they havent done anything to pvp over there.

if any other pets have anything special besides icnreased armor which is useless for pvp anyways, please tell me

so what exactly makes mare on uof stronger than on gamers or dfi ?

insta-firebreaths, all guard me that works offensive rather than defensive, no skilloss for balling back a pet, petballs in the first place.. stuff like that.

there are no things such as isnta firebreaths. firebreath is an internal cooldown of the pet and will be casted whenever it feels like it. sometimes if you are unlucky, and the pet was recently in combat and is holding its breath, it will be the first thing its doing. however thats how all pets work...
Pet balls and skillloss, dont effect the power of the pet it ANY way while you are fighting it ?
All guard me doesnt explain the rideability of pets who were previously in combat. If i want to mount it up, im not going to want it guard me, i want it to follow so i can mount it, not attack. Besides that you can change all guard me to a defensive all guard me with minimal staff interference i guess. Nobody is going to attack with all guard me, nor will he say all guard me if he wants to flee. how does that make a pet used offesnively stronger lul
Im not entirely sure, if you understood what my first post is about and after that my question about how mares are actually STRONGER in pvp than on other UOR servers.
Everything you said doesnt make the pet stronger in pvp.

The firebreath thing was atleast untrue at server start when there was no remount timer on pets recently in combat, which made them really, really strong and OP. The way All Guard Me works here makes the game 10 times easier for a PVP oriented tamer and is therefore an viable argumente WHY they're better here than on any other Shards. People DO use it to attack on here. All Guard Me + ebolt on guy you want to attack leads to him getting firebreathed, ebolted, maybe flamestriked by your pet(s).

Point is, however, that no matter how hard you try they won't change the remount timer. They don't want Tamers in PVP here. Most people don't want them in PVP, actually. Don't even bother, just accept it as is.

Haha no I'm a tamer whore and I believe this to be an absolutely essential mechanic. There was no cooldown when the shard first opened and people were abusing mare fire breath by dismounting, attacking, and remounting.

We're in a much better place now, I think we can all agree.

The cooldown to remount is brief yet long enough to neutralize the dumbfuckery.

well the firebreath thing has been fixed right now obv, however im ok with the remount timer. im just curious if this is really intended, a bug, or a result of bad players crying because tamers are too strong while playing tank mages and alchy mages ^.^
