How to check my ping

Hey guys, how do I check my UO latency in cmd?

I am writing ping uoforever.com but its not getting anything back ...

You can't ping 'uoforever.com' you need to look up the IP address of uoforever.com (with the "nslookup" command) then ping that address.

Doesn't work man! The ip address that shows for me for uoforever.com is 2804:14d:5c11:672:201:17:0:119 , which doesn't make any sense !

That IS an IP address; it's a IPv6 address.

You need to convert it to an IPv4 address; a google search should give you the tools/knowledge you need to do it. I'm drawing a blank from memory right now, though.

I'll edit if I remember later, but are you sure the NSlookup didn't give you an IPv4 as it spewed out text?

Yes bro I even followed the instructions from the link you gave me :/ isnt their IP the same for everybody? Dont you have it to share with me so I can direcly ping it ?

I tried the NSlookup and I got this address for uoforever.com:


192.185.246.219

After a ping I found my average ping is about 100ms, and it what I would expect.

Anyways, try pinging that IPv4; it should get you what you're after.

EDIT: Or what, Peav said. lol
