Besides, $ is almost as big as the Trin alliance that has like six guilds in it. I told those bads when they were almost 100% pushed out of RDAs that they were gonna have to ally or start recruiting if they wanted to have any success. Still bad and dumb, but they have more numbers (and no lifers) than the competition now.

Seriously now, it's exactly as you say it and I don't mean ironically.
Most of us are mid-thirties who are nostalgic about this game and have maybe half an hour per day to spend between work-family to the game and remove the stress. Can't be bothered to become the best players in the shard. And if we don't have fun, we go... just like that.
But this is the market niche that UOForever is looking for. These guys and not young players who like better graphics and effects.

It is completely understandable that people have lives and don't have the time to dedicate to this game like they used to, but that does not mean they should be handed things on a silver platter.
And in the same vein, it isn't very fair to dumb down already insanely simple content and screw over the players who do dedicate themselves to the server and the game itself because you want more loot. it isn't like there aren't a million hunting spots as is, it is just greed. (and to be honest, the dedicated players are more than likely the ones who stay through thick and thin)
If you don't have the time to invest, you can't really complain about not being able to do end-game content. kill ophidians instead!

Yup, you sum it up well. Some people actually think these weak ass casuals are the ones that should be catered to by watering down this game. Casuals who have no interest in becoming good at this game or investing more than a few fleeting moments during the week? These are the target audience?
Catering to that crowd doesn't put investment into players who actually make up the community, ie the players who have been around and will still be around unless UO loses its edge. These are the players that are the backbone of the shard.
As far as $ goes, who cares? I saw them raid TBA/Trin at Barracoon with the Russian sploiters. I laughed. Blue griefers vs blue scrubs.
Personally, I'm sick of the tamer shard mentality. Its such a brain dead approach to keep giving one class all the benefits. I suppose that's what keeps the masses happy so game balance be damned. One class shouldn't have both the greatest PvM and PvP ability and yet...

it's lack of ppl problem+ abuse numbers+tamers. then i'm not talking about pvm, i'm talking about your noob guildmates who call in 3-5 tamers (maybe same person with 2) in fights in nocut area even if they already outnumber. your tactict and politics are easywin and cheap. i would fit perfect in money but i'd start reskill and waste my mates and friends time. this is the truth, you ask ppl to kill their mates and brainwash their head with stupid eqms drama. you just let some people do pvm then you recall and all kill them in small spaces when they're lost at mobs.
i think this is toxic for community, if you think i care at items or at 50 reag you haven t undestand, i care at time and your alliance just let people waste time continuosly. your alliance actions are just hurting the shard that's all.

Trin does use Teamspeak. And yes, for awhile people just recalled. We're working on that and people have started fighting back.
I also like how people have all of these cures yet one admits doesn't play. Where was this great direction when you were in the alliance?
Some talk about how others run from a spawn who don't ever go to champs to help defend them.
The most truth here is Slice. Champs just aren't worth it. The only reason I see champs as something viable is that it is something a large group of people can do together. The truth is, a lot of people in Trin are just bored with champs, PKs or not.
There is a whole map full of things to do. Dungeons, overland spawns. Do some boating. We're having a blast on the seas and hope the GMs will direct more into that mode of playing like a sea champ or something. There are places that people playing don't even know exist until I mention it. Like the Grotto or Abyss.
PVMers have options. Not everyone wants to pvp but they play here to be with friends. Player solutions are what is needed. Like all large zerg pk guilds, they'll get bored. If you stop doing champs, they'll stop coming and find something else to do with their time like run around Brit bridge. As much as I don't like it, $ and the other guilds have as much right to ruin our fun. So find something else fun to do.

lawl when people cried about EQMS doing champs/rdas we explained we were more organized and better at PVP than most so they nerf PKs and staff asks us to chill out on the PVM raiding shit... now $ does it using a zerg blue tamers to kill pets, lawl !

PS. NO ONE who uses pets in pvp should EVER brag about being a good pvper. Ever. You're a griefer, period. Which is fine if that's your playstyle. But call it like it is. You do NOT pvp. You are not a good pvper.

This is not a $ or EQMS or any other zerg guild problem. Yes there are some things that still could be done to balance PvP but that isn't why one guild is stealing champs. Guilds that want to do champs need to be willing to defend it as well. Even the strictest PvM tamer and archer bard can support a small group of PvPers that help fight off reds. Whether it is cross healing or throwing up para fields/walls. Using the spawn to your advantage to act as a wall itself can help for locations that are open. I think Mango said it best, a lot of people act like a bunch of hens when a fox gets in the hen house.
Yes there will be times when the numbers and timing will fuck you but if you don't obsess over getting the absolute highest champ score possible you can usually fend off a champ long enough for anyone that gets a scroll to get out. That does take some numbers to pull off correctly but sounds like the OP's guild has the bodies they just don't have the experience or willingness to go through the growing pains of trying to learn.
