How does lockpicking raise?

Hello,

Can someone explain me how it works ?
I bought a LP kit with 3 boxes.
I was stuck at 70.3 (real).
I raise my dex and bought a SS +1 to reach 76 (71.5 real). Then i tried to macro LP with another boxe i coudnt pick before.
Sure i can now pick the lock, but my real skill still stuck (71.5).
And this is not a cap problem.

sounds like one of your boxs is not high enuff skill lvl.

you need 1 at 50 tinker skill, 1 at 70, 1 at gm and that will take you to i think 99.5? or mayb 95 then u need SS, top end paragon chests or top lvl dungeons chests.

Does it means that i have to pick a gm boxe (cause i'm 70+ in lockpicking) ?
And does it means too that the boxe a actually use is not a gm one ?

i think above 70 lp is the gm box yea im not 100% ive not done it in a long time.

Sounds like you might need to check that you are not at 700 skill cap, or eat

I'm at 700 but 2 skills in decrease mode.
