I think it's legal: if you have a valuable Pet you only need to buy the Petball; if your Pet is crappy you only need to tame another one in five minutes.

Pet traps are legal.
Trapping pets is ok. Trapping spawn is a no no.

Time for a nostalgic moment 'ohmmmmmmmmm' :
Evilness : "Greetings Sir, would you be interesting in joining my guild?"
Victim : "Oh sure, do you have any rules?"
Evilness : "Nay, the only thing we ask is for you to be active at least once a week unless special circumstances dictate otherwise"
Victim : "Sounds about right.. where do I sign up?"
Evilness : "Follow me to my house please, I will give you a set of clothes, a uniform of sorts which you will need to wear when we have guild meetings."
Victim : "Great, gate to your house please"
Evilness : "Sure thing, one moment please"
Victim : "Sure."
A few moments pass by.........
Gate opens...
Both enter...
Evilness : "Come inside and go wait for me on the second floor."
Victim : "Nice house"
Evilness : "Thank you, go wait upstairs"
Victim : "Going"
Evilness waits for victim to go upstairs, when out of sight, places a trash barrel at the door, blocking the exit.
Victim heads upstairs, notices a box on a pedestal but decides not to investigate due to infringement of privacy.
Evilness casually walks up to level two of his house.
Victim Bows and greets Evilness.
Victim : "Hey"
Evilness : "Hey there, before you touch the guild stone, there is a set of clothes in that box sitting on that pedestal, did you check it already?"
Victim : "No, didn't want to come across as being sneaky, looks good though for a wardrobe!"
Evilness : "Hahah, yes, I felt that by putting the box on there would give new recruits a feeling of joining a cult. *grins*
Victim : "Nice, may I get my 'uniform'?"
Evilness : "Sure, go grab an outfit!"
The victim trundles up to the box, looks at it, then opens it. The box hisses like a snake on steroids and the familiar message *Target begins to spasm uncontrollably appears.* In panic, the victim tries to cure himself using the spell, but fails, he tries to run outside but the exit is blocked with a trash barrel, his life force is nearing its end and he says
Victim : "WHY?"
Evilness : "Zed"
Victim : "Ze....." - The victim dies, his corpse a sickly green colour, lower jaw disfigured from the force of biting down hard to somehow, mask the pain from the poison.
Victims Ghost : "OooO Ooo OOOO"
Evilness : "I don't do requests!" "I ban thee"
Victims Ghost has been banned from the house.
Another victim of a charismatic Ulima Online, serial killer.

I was talking about trapping players, there were stairs that went up, then dropped down into a no-escape area.
"Leave House" is an option, but it did bug the first time forcing me to wait. There are other options to evac the area too. So I was wondering about player trapping houses.

Can you kill yourself with Spell/TrappedPuch? If the "Leave House" don't work you need to wait some hours after that you will be free again.

Yes there are options, no they are not ideal any more. The leave house option has destroyed a lot of player trapping methods. You could make teleporters into caged rooms, but seriously, the leave house option has taken a good chunk of utility away from people making their own dungeons and such.
So in theory, yes you can, if you want to make it a hobby then you might be better getting some stuck locations around the world and fill them with evils.

No, yes... Depends if the ghost can get out or not, if that is the case where they are stuck then yes, it is illegal I think, if you boot them from the house using I ban thee or remove thyself, then no, it is not illegal *I think*.

House traps are not illegal if used for trapping player pets only. If you trap spawn then yes it is illegal, and no there is no way to trap players in a house. But you could set up a trap outside a house and that would be illegal.
