House falls but I still see it...

Not really a "bug" to report, because I'm pretty sure its isolated on my side, but.. this has happened twice, several months apart so its also not exactly a glitch. Hope somebody knows the answer because its beyond me.
Watch the house beside me decay, it finally falls, but I still see it. I cannot walk through the walls that I see but aren't there, but the door no longer exists and I can walk through it. Log out and back on, house is gone.
Clearly a video issue. I'm guessing that if the video sees a solid wall that the client behaves accordingling, even if its not there.
Has anybody else experienced this, or is it a unique, one of a kind rare I should be selling for 1 million gold?

It happens to me at times also.
Happy to hear I'm not alone, but also sorry that another is effected. Seems to only happen on my desktop, laptop seems to see the fall properly. Both ASUS computers. It has to be something with the graphics buffer not updating something, but I'm not a graphics guy so I'm lost.

The problem here is caused by data saved to the multicache file. It saves some data onto your client to make the game load faster.

A great way to clear your cache files for windows users is to go into start/run and type:

rundll32 advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

(make sure you CLOSE all UO clients and every program you can before running this!! especially the first time)

it will take about 5-10 mins the first time.

Another way to fix it is to simply delete your multicache.dat file, might wanna back it up before you try as I haven't tested it on all client versions personally.

For best results do this once per week, and before you fight in the field, do a ''walk around'' to load those houses in your pvp area before you fight there. (then log off and on)

Wreckognize, thanks! The first option is sort of useless as the idea id to see it fall online. But the multicahcache.dat file may be exactly what I need to do. I'll try it tommorrow, although may be months before I see another house fall! Only saw this one because it was next to my house.

Btw, I've had this occur many times when I did IDOCs 24/7.

The quickest way to fix this on your screen is to close your client window and then restart the client and log back in. Takes less than 15 secs and will remove the fallen house from your screen so you can get to that sweet sweet loot.

You can set a hotkey to resync your client with razor. I wonder if that would fix it without having to re-log.
