I selected a statue, had my backpack open ready to pounce since there was word of thieves stealing, and after selecting nothing happened and it says I've taken my present. I'm 99% sure it wasn't stolen by a thief as I never saw it even enter my pack. Was there some sort of time-out for thinking while in my "Oval Office?"

It could have been a thief. A theft can happen in 600 ms, or maybe faster I don't know the limit. Prolly got scripted :/

Ah I did it on another account and I see the present box went into my pack before selecting. Wow, I guess it got stolen while I was taking a slam. Better luck next year.

Heads up folks. I opened the gift gump and ran away to a secluded corner to avoid thieves and chose a holiday plant and nothing went in my bag, and now that account can't collect a gift. So I guess don't run off like I did.
