Help with new vendor

i was thinking of putting up a few vendors at my house, just basics like recalls, t maps, wands, and some gardening items (seeds, pettals, thorns). What's the best way to promote a new vendor house this small? Is it worth the profit to put in the effort with such a limited selection of items?

Luer, unless your house is in a high traffic area, don't bother. Renting a vendor spot at most malls is cheap and well worth it. Heck some places even have free rent.

ya pretty much only way to be successful independent vendor is to be near a moongate or bank, or somewhere people run by all the time

there are quite a few spots near the Yew bank and moongate where you could put a small house and Yew is pretty much the best vendor concentration on the server

It all depends where your house/shop is located.

If it is in a heavy traffic area - you will not need to gate.

If it is not in a heavy traffic area - you will need to advertise it on the forums a bit and also gate there siometimes. You could also mark runes to it and drop them at banks etc.

Even if its not in a great location - your mall could still be successful. I once had a mall on ice island.... sure it was a castle mall... but still - it was ice island. Since I gated there though a bit and I advertised it on the forums - it got a lot... and I mean a lot of traffic.

Good luck !
