If not a window of info like the regular Message of the Day could we please just get a welcome message in the bottom of the screen that shows up in journal too or something made by guildmaster/alliance leaders?

Simple and would be a big help.

Big +1 on this one. I use the guild charter right now, but it's limited to 50 characters and not everyone catches it in time.

I would also love to see guild forums!!!!

I'm surprised this has such little attention or support - is it not super simple (I don't know code though, so maybe I'm wrong) and extremely useful for guild reminders and news/updates that all can see when logging in?

HOOWAH! Honestly, this is extremely needed. Players don't often like to have to go to a website or forums and need a way of keeping updated on guild news. PLEASE!!!!!!

I mentioned this in IRC last week and Shane said he liked the idea so let's keep at it. It would be soooo helpful. So many of our members are on at odd times and it's hard for me to always get a message to them like "Town Hall meeting tonight at 7."

agree, notices/news popups are distracting and annoying. Am wondering why staff doesn't change it and made it worse now after the upgrade.

I agree here - I'm a fan of the journal or the scroll-like gumps in game for news and updates as opposed to the custom animated windows. They're nice, but can be slow and get in the way waiting on them to finish animating and clicking through buttons instead of a simple right click to close it.

I'd really like to see either a simple journal like window pop up with guild MotD stuff in it or else a system message in the corner of the screen when you log in or type /guildmotd
