Guards?

So, someone enlighten me how are guards working/not working on this server.

Was macroing by a dungeon entrance with my pack horses, this guy comes up and kills both and loots them, he becomes grey, I follow him into town, call guards on him, they do not come. On top of that, he's able to attack me, kill me and loot me.

And no, I'm not a member of a faction.

Well, what am I missing here?

the crime has to be committed inside the guard zone for the guards to help you.

What about him attacking me in town and guards not coming then?

Did you attack him when he went grey? If so, the draconic laws of Britannia dictate the man is then acting in self-defense, and he is allowed to defend himself - even as a grey - in town. A lot of miner killers will do this: kill the packhorse, get the miner to attack them, and then kill them without taking a murder count (or even chase them into town where the miner cannot call guards).

Ah that would explain why, had a different ruleset on the server I played on years ago, which is why I was confused.
