Get rid of the PvP section on the forum

Do the same thing you did on discord and get rid of the PvP section. Staff recently had to delete every post in that sub forum because it was getting super embarrassing and now just weeks later look at the state of that sub: Nothing but shitposts.

I say take away the place for those kids to spew their shit and they will eventually stop doing it. Not like it isn't the same 5 people every single time anyways.

80% of the posts are from the $ower alliance. And the situation is even worse if you go back a few pages. I realize they are butthurt, but we shouldn't lose the pvp forum because of 3-4 seriously affected players

Anyways, if they remove the pvp section all that shit would move to the other forums and it'll be way worse than it is now.

Look what happened when they removed Rants and Flames section. The pvp forum was decent back then because all the BS was in R&F (well, most of it anyways), now the pvp forum is a shit show.

The question is, does the shard really need a publicly visible place for people to throw insults at each other? I think not and ever since they have gotten rid of that completely in discord and started enforcing it the overall climate there has gotten a lot more enjoyable.

It has been suggested many times to have a R&F section where you can only access if you account is more than X months old or has more than X number of posts. It would also have a big WARNING where you have to click "i accept" before you enter.

This way people who enjoy the shit talk can have fun there, while the soft kids like yourself and @Silly Santa can pretend they are playing hello kitty rainbow island without having their feelings hurt.

I was playing this game in 1999 and shit talk has always been a big part of it, especially when it comes to pvp.

I think bringing back the R&F section (which I never read or posted in, as I wasn't on the forums at the time) would solve a lot of the problems people are having with the PvP section. Hell even general chat on Discord is now pushing the limits as there isn't anywhere to call someone out for their actions.

The fact that Silly Santa, LSDjay and a few other softer players are upset about the PvP section being what it is partly their fault posting in there with no PvP references at all, just ant-EQMS rhetoric. The crying will always happen, there will always be cyber babies, but at least in the R&F section, you can expect over-the-top insults, and over-the-top reactions; the PvP section shouldn't be used the way it is.

Shit-talking is not "part of pvp." It is a mindset that a lot of players picked up when they were 12-13 on stepdad's keyboard and they never learned to play nice.

I'm not talking about amongst friends, I make sure to shit talk my friends everyday.

I would completely support getting rid of the pvp section. It's boring. It's the same old horse shit day after day. I rarely post there anymore.

Anyone who has half a personality is banned from either discord or the forums and just doesn't feel like dealing with it anymore. As someone who has been banned from both, I can't blame them. The fun has been taken out of it.
